This new V5 power trunk can be opened via the standard boot lid button, touch screen and the Tesla app. To close, “press” the same button again. Comparing to the old versions, V5 has a softer and quieter operation. Also, you will be warned if you want to drive the car with your trunk opened.
This kit contains everything you will need for installation. Detailed installation guide and videos are available. Due to cabling work is required, if you are not confident or don’t have relevant experience, seeking for professional installation services is recommended.
The foot sensor will make the automation to the max. extent, this optional part can be installed afterwards as well.

Special note:
1. There are other powerlift gate on the market which takes power from the CAN wire, this will make your Tesla offcial warranty invalid. Our product doesn’t take power from the CAN wire, you never need to worry about losing the warranty.
2. An upgrade cable set to V5 which allows you to see the open/ close status of the tailgate can be ordered separately, if you have an old version installed, you can upgrade to V5 with the additional cables.
